    Ingredients

    • 1 cup milk
    • 0.25 cup butter
    • 1 packet active dry yeast
    • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
    • 3 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 large egg
    • 2 tbsp butter, melted

    Steps

    1. Warm milk and butter until about 110 F.
    2. Stir in yeast and sugar; let activate until foamy, about 10 minutes.
    3. Mix flour, salt, and egg in a large bowl; add yeast mixture and stir into a soft dough.
    4. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, about 8 minutes.
    5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 60 minutes.
    6. Punch down dough, divide into 12 portions, shape into balls, and arrange in a greased 9Ă—13 pan; let rise 20 minutes.
    7. Brush rolls with melted butter and bake at 375 F for 20 minutes, until golden.
